Post  Snurfsnarf on Wed Jun 24, 2009 6:47 pm

Yes, this is an awesome idea. We could even give movesets! I have one for Blissey.

BLISSEY

Name: Special Wall
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm (+Sp. Def, -Attack)
EV's: 252 HP, 252 Sp. Def, 6 Speed
-Attacks-
Softboiled
Stealth Rock
Thunder Wave
Seismic Toss

This Blissey's main goal is to slowly, but surely, take out any Pokemon that use Sp. Atk. Start off with a nice Stealth Rock, then a Thunder Wave, then start breaking out the Seismic Tosses. Make sure you only use Blissey against a SPECIAL ATTACK Pokemon. Blissey's Defense is horrible, so if the opponent switches to an Attack Pokemon, you switch, too.

Enjoy! Very Happy

Yep, every nature positively affects a stat and negatively affects another stat.

Sure, just let me look at Gardevoir's possible attacks.

Post  Snurfsnarf on Wed Jun 24, 2009 7:04 pm

Okay, here's one where Gardevoir has a mixture of attacks (it involves some TM's).

Name: MixGardevoir
Item: Lum Berry/Leftovers
EV's: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Sp. Def, 6 Speed
-Attacks-
Psychic
Energy Ball/Grass Knot
Thunderbolt/Charge Beam
Shadow Ball

This is just a quick little moveset I put together. The strategy for this is so Gardevoir can have a wide range of attacks, and, going along with its incredible Sp. Atk, can easily defeat a wide range of Pokemon. Also, with the EV's in Sp. Def, Gardevoir can still take a hit and keep owning. Now, about the item. You could give Gardevoir a Lum Berry, which, paired up with the Synchronize ability, can counteract any Paralysis, Poison, or Burn. Of course, there's always the Leftovers idea as well, since that's a pretty popular hold item.

Here's a moveset for Porygon-Z (my moveset actually):

Name: MixSweeper
Item: Scope Lens (or whatever)
Nature: Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Attack)
EV's: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed, 6 Sp. Def
-Attacks-
Tri Attack
Signal Beam
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam

What I love the most about Porygon-Z are two things: one is its incredible Sp. Atk, and the other is its wide range of attacks. Tri Attack is a solid, 120 power attack (120 power because of STAB) that can do plenty of damage. The other attacks are for variety. This moveset is good to just wipe out any Pokemon in your way. Just watch out for Pokemon faster than you. Don't overestimate Porygon-Z's Speed (I do it all the time, and it usually ends badly). Porygon-Z has less than great defenses, so it can't really take a hit. That's why it's good to try and OHKO anyone that gets in your way. As for the item, I wasn't really too sure about what to give it, so I went with the Scope Lens, which increases your Critical Hit ratio. Alakazam might be a little better for this, though, but oh well!

To make him a Magmortar, all you have to do is trade him while he is holding a Magmarizer.

I'll trade with you.

Okay, here's a moveset for Magmortar

Name: MixMagmortar (I'm a big fan of mix stuff)
Item: Leftovers (or whatever)
Nature: Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Attack)
EV's: 252 Sp. Atk, 252 Sp, Def, 6 HP
-Attacks-
Flamethrower
Thunderbolt
Psychic
Focus Blast

This particular moveset may seem a little odd to you, but that's because it IS odd. The point, like always, is to have a variety of attacks so that you can defeat a variety of Pokemon. Just remember that Magmortar's Speed isn't really that great, so don't expect to make a great sweeper out of him.

Yes, all of those attacks are TM's actually, but you don't need the Flamethrower TM for Magmortar to learn it.

Here's one for Blaziken (requested by Gardevoir)

Name: CritHitBlaziken
Item: Scope Lens
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Sp. Def.
-Attacks-
Flare Blitz/Focus Energy
Stone Edge/Focus Energy
Brick Break/Focus Energy
Shadow Claw/Focus Energy

This particular moveset is based a lot around Critical Hits. Flare Blitz, Stone Edge, and Shadow Claw all have high critical hit ratios, and with the Scope Lens, you're very likely to land a critical hit. You could replace one of the attacks with Focus Energy to increase the chances of a critical hit even more, but I don't recommend it.

Or, if you don't like that one.

Name: MixBlaziken
Item: Leftovers (or whatever)
Nature: Adamant
EV's: same as above
-Attacks-
Flare Blitz
Sky Uppercut/Brick Break
Brave Bird
Stone Edge

Similar to the previous moveset, only this one isn't really based around critical hits. Basically, the only difference is replacing Shadow Claw with Brave Bird. As for the item, I suggest Leftovers, since Flare Blitz and Brave Bird both have recoil.

Okay, here's one for Arceus:

Name: AAA (AllAroundArceus)
Item: Fist Plate
Nature: any neutral nature
EV's: 252 Attack, 252 Sp. Atk, 6 Speed
-Attacks-
Judgment
Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower/Psychic/Dragon Pulse
Earthquake
Iron Tail/Stone Edge

Since Arceus has balanced Attack and Special Attack, you can give it two of each to help defeat a wider variety of Pokemon. I gave several options for a couple attacks. Whatever you go with is entirely up to you. I just gave a few ideas. Arceus can learn a lot more special attacks than physical, so I might make another one for special attacks only pretty soon.
